History of Donson

Our founder, Don Bettinardi started his machining career at Pullman Technical High school in the City of Chicago. Don then became a journeyman machinist at Argonne National Laboratory. Don had a dream to start his own business that would employ the best machinists in Illinois and achieve the highest quality reputation possible using CNC Machine Tools. This dream became a reality in 1978 by establishing Donson Machine Company. Jim and Joe the youngest of the son’s became the owners of Donson Machine in 2005 and the eldest two son’s have their own machining businesses (Bryco and X-Cel/Bettinardi Golf). Through the hard work of many dedicated employees , Donson Machine has emerged as a premier machining company in the United States.
